Position: HEAD CHEF

Cliffy's Emporium is easily one of Daylesford's most iconic destinations for tourists and locals alike. The building is filled with local, legendary character, the menu and emporium shelves are abundant with regional produce and wholesome ‘good’ food.
We are now looking for a Head Chef to help us develop a high-performing and happy team of kitchen staff in delivering beautiful food and an exceptional guest experiences.
Your responsibilities will include:
Ensuring that consistency is met with every plate
Maintaining Stock control and daily ordering
Rostering for your kitchen team
Controlling food & wage cost
Menu development & weekly specials
Manage small production of inhouse pickling and preserves for retail sale
Assist with event and special menu planning
Ability to work closely with and report back to management
Communicating with front of house staff to ensuring service delivery is a high standard
Ability to support and contribute to the venue
Our ideal candidate will have
2-3 years experience within a fast paced short order service
High standard of food presentation and productivity
Thrive under pressure
Management skills to lead and motivate
Interpersonal skills and the ability to teach and develop others in team
Manage the Food Safety and OH&S in the kitchen

With our team expanding and demand increasing, we’re looking for a part-time pastry chef / passionate cook who loves making cakes, pastries, slices and desserts.

Position: CAFE SUPERVISOR

For many, a visit to Cliffy’s Emporium is a memorable experience created by our passionate team of service professionals. To ensure this experience is met, we’re on the search for someone to help to lead our Front Of House team. We're looking for someone with passion for service, an eye for detail and exceptional interpersonal skills.
In this role you will have the opportunity to direct the FOH operations.
The successful applicant will:
Have at least 2 years experience as Front of House in a busy environment
Have proven experience managing a team
Have proven experience in high volume customer service
Be reliable, punctual and well presented
Have a warm and engaging personality
Have a positive can-do attitude and high energy
Be a team player and willing to contribute to a positive work culture
Have flexibility to work one weekend day per week
Working alongside the Manager you will regularly review operations and improve processes. With service at the forefront you will analyse trends and make changes to enhance the customer experience and increase efficiency in the venue.
